A perfectionist with some at least of their normal characteristics, her career in LANCASHIRE was notable for the creation of many new branches of impeccable design and excellent book stocks and equipment but would have been happier had she herself been a chief officer and not a senior member of the staff of a county Director of Education. She was an active member of the LA Council from 1947 and was made an Honorary Fellow in 1966.
